Jukurit mukaan eurooppalaisten joukkueiden liittoumaan

Mikkeliläiset valvovat kiekkoseurojen yhteisiä etuja.

Mikkelin Jukureista tuli perjantaina European Hockey Clubsin jäsen. Liittoumassa ovat mukana muun muassa kaikki suomalaiset Liiga-seurat. EHC Alliancen tavoitteena on valvoa ja kehittää eurooppalaisten kiekkoseurojen etuja yhteisvoimin.

Jukurit Mikkeli of the Finnish Liiga became the 76th member of the Alliance of the European Hockey Clubs.

The E.H.C. was founded in June 2016 to play the role of an employer's alliance in order to look after interests of Europe's professional hockey clubs on the international scene.

The 76 current members come from 11 European leagues and 13 countries.

"We are very proud to have Jukurit as member," said Szymon Szemberg, E.H.C. Alliance Managing Director. "This is also a statement that the E.H.C. is an alliance for all clubs, the established ones but also for clubs that are aspiring to become a top contenders nationally and eventually play a role in Europe."

With the addition of Jukurit, now all Finnish Liiga clubs are E.H.C. Alliance members. Also all 14 Swedish SHL-clubs and all 12 Swiss NLA-clubs are members of the E.H.C.

E.H.C. Membership by country: Austria (3), Czech Republic (7), Finland (15), Great Britain (5, England 3, Scotland 1, Wales 1), Germany (12), Norway (2), Poland (1), Switzerland (14, including 2 from NLB) Slovakia (4), Sweden (14), Ukraine (1).
